Fortune International Realty was founded in 1983 by the Defortuna Family. Since then, the company has expanded to include brokerage activities, property management, financing, new development sales and proprietary developments.
Originally, all of the company's offices were located in Key Biscayne. Later Fortune acquired a real estate company in Brickell and another one in Coral Gables. In 2001 a new branch was opened in Brickell in order to handle the sales of Jade Residences at Brickell Bay, the first proprietary development of its parent company, Fortune International. Other proprietary developments include Artech in Aventura, Jade Beach and Jade Ocean in Sunny Isles Beach. The developments location determined also the geographical expansion of the realty branches, such as the one in Sunny Isles Beach and Weston.

ABOUT Hubert "David" ABITBOL
Hubert (David) Abitbol has been a real estate agent in the luxurious European vacation locale of Saint Tropez on the French Riviera since 1982. He received his degree in Architecture from the Ecole d’Architecture du Boulevard Raspail in Paris. In 1979, he began his career in architecture in Saint Tropez, a city whose international renown as a center for art, and Show-Business dates back to when Brigitte Bardot first took up residence there in the 1960s. His passion for art and architecture quickly married with his communicative temperament to guide him into the field of real estate. As he always says: “Selling is an art.” Hubert has sold and rented luxury villas to many of the big names in show business, including Elton John, Charles Aznavour, Michel Berger and France Gall (famous French singers) and in industry as Bernard Arnault (the CEO of LVMH, an international group comprised of Christian Dior, Louis Vuiton, Hermes, Bulgari, and many others…). He also sold a $40 million property on the water to the wealthy Russian oligarch Roman Abrahamovitch. In 2004 Hubert moved to Miami with his wife and two daughters, where he invested in condo conversion projects while still maintaining his real estate business in Saint Tropez. Now working as a realtor associate with Fortune, Hubert wishes to create a bridge between Saint Tropez and Miami to guide buyers and investors from France and Europe in their search for apartments and houses for sale in the Miami area.
